The brief
The company sold through distributors and a sales team, with the entire catalogue distributed as PDFs by email. Buyers could not search it, and no product page existed for Google to index, so every enquiry started with a phone call asking whether a part existed.
What we did
We structured the catalogue as real data rather than documents — each product with its specifications as fields, not as a line in a PDF table. That made filtering possible, made every product its own indexable page, and let the datasheet be generated rather than maintained separately.
- Product data extracted from PDFs into a structured catalogue
- Filter by specification, material and application
- A page per product, each indexable and individually linkable
- Enquiry form pre-filled with the product being viewed
- Datasheet PDFs generated from the same data, so they cannot drift
